Vahanen Tampere Oy has been chosen as quantity surveyor for the alteration and repair project to the Tampere University of Technology's Rakennustalo building. The extensive project will last until the end of 2013 and the assignment also includes monitoring tasks concerning civil engineering and building service technology. The Rakennustalo building is located on the TUT campus area and it contains the university's research, teaching and office facilities as well as VTT's research facilities, among others.

As an assignment from Stora Enso, Vahanen has compiled a conceptual plan for the Augustinranta business park service area. The plan concerns the old sulphite cellulose factory area in Tolkkinen, Porvoo.

"I've worked together with Vahanen Group subsidiary Innovarch Oy since 2007. Innovarch has been involved in the concept planning of our projects, so it's natural to also commission them for architectural planning – this gives us the top shopping centre engineering expertise in the country. Of course, the cost of planning also has to be competitive," explains Timo Heikkilä, District Director for Southeastern Finland at KESKO Oyj.

Tapiolan Lämpö Oy and the Vahanen Group have worked in co-operation for several decades. A partnership agreement between the two companies was signed in 2004, after which the level of co-operation was further enhanced from a client relationship to the development of joint operating concepts. Key examples of this co-operation include the ReplumbingPlus service model, in whose development Tapiolan Lämpö participated.

"We ordered the transformer substation contract coordination and management service from Vahanen Group in the autumn of 2009; i.e. we have been co-operating for about six months now. The renewal of our transformer substation contracts has gotten off to a good start, and Vahanen has also supported us in the development of a transformer substation contract template. The co-operation has met our expectations."
