Vahanen is in the Green Office network

The Vahanen Group has belonged to WWF’s Green Office network since 2008. The label is awarded as recognition for developing environmentally friendly practices.

The Green Office system is an environmental service coordinated by WWF for small and large offices, intended to assist companies in developing environmentally friendly practices and reducing functions that are harmful to the environment. The system is beneficial all around: the company reduces its environmental impact, and at the same time it saves for example on energy and material costs.

The Green Office system allows Vahanen to do its bit through an environmental programme. The fulfilment of the programme is monitored in annual environmental audits. At Vahanen, some of the concrete embodiments of Green Office include increased recycling, favouring public transport, saving electricity and reducing printing. When renovating its facilities, Vahanen continuously strives to find more environmentally friendly office systems and the company encourages its individual employees to help save the environment with their actions.
