Contaminated areas
We offer an expert organisation for assessing and remediating contaminated areas. Risk assessments are conducted to find the safest and most cost-effective solutions for restoring contaminated soil and groundwater.
Our services include:
- soil contamination assessments and site history analyses
- groundwater, sediment and pore gas sampling and analyses
- research result analyses and risk assessment
- remediation planning and cost estimates
- permit processes
- monitoring of remediation processes
- hazardous material surveys in buildings
Contamination assessments and monitoring are conducted by certified personnel who use cost-effective, modern field analysis equipment in their work. Laboratory analyses are carried out by reliable partners.
Environmental due diligence
Environmental due diligence (EDD) is used to
assess the potential environmental risks, responsibilities and
liabilities related to property purchases or mergers and acquisitions.
Such risks and liabilities often have a major cost impact and therefore
can affect the transaction price. We offer reliable EDD procedures and
studies, either separately or in conjunction with
Technical
Due Diligence (TDD).
EDD is a two-phase process
EDD usually consists of two phases. In the first phase, we determine
the most significant environmental risks and responsibilities. After
these are known, we can assess the need for the procedures of the second phase.
First-phase measures:
- interviews
- company or site visits
- review of documents and reports
Examples of second-phase measures:
- site contamination assessments
- specific hazardous material surveys of buildings
After these investigations, we determine the soil remediation needs,
building repairs, servicing, and maintenance that are needed, as well as the the
financial risks which arise from possible contamination.
