A company’s environmental management should be based on an environmental system. The most commonly used model is the ISO 14001 standard. Risk assessment in accordance with the Floods
Directive (2007/60/EC),
The Directive on the Assessment and Management of Flood Risks, requires
local municipalities to assess the flood risks caused by rainwater, water systems
and sea water in their area.
Based on this assessment, possible significant areas of flood risk will
be designated for which flood hazard- and flood risk maps and
management plans will be drawn up. The first round of the implementation
of the directive will be phased in between 2011 and 2015.
Our experienced staff will prepare the assessments, maps and plans
required by the directive with the aid of modelling tools. The
flood management plans will be used as a guide to investment in new
construction, and the aim is to minimise the harmful effects of floods in
the built environment. In addition to economic losses, floods can also
cause great damage to the society and the environment.
